Zambia has some wonderful remote safari regions which are ideal for honeymooners preferring to experience Africa at its wildest. Most honeymooners, however, touch into Zambia at Livingstone as part of a Southern African tour that includes a few nights at the famous Victoria Falls. This magnificent Wonder of the Natural World is a must see add-on for anyone planning a safari to neighboring Botswana, Namibia or South Africa.
Two nights at one of Livingstone's river lodges alongside the falls is generally sufficient, unless you also wish to experience the adrenalin rush of white water rafting down the mighty Zambezi river, or a microlight flight across the falls. The safari regions we recommend in Zambia are Kafue, Lower Zambezi and South Luangwa, all of which have some truly romantic lodges and camps.
The dry season between August and October is best for the wildlife regions. May to August is cooler and greener. Accommodation rates vary between US$ 300 and US$800 per person per night.
