Location
Kings Pool Camp is located in a private reserve in the Linyanti area, bordering on the western boundary of Chobe National Park. The camp overlooks the Kings Pool Lagoon and the Linyanti River to the north. The reserve consists of 125 000 hectares of unspoilt wilderness.

Attractions
Most of the area is characterized by open grassland, riverine forest, mixed terminalia and mopane savannas. The area is most noted for its very large elephant populations, which can reach enormous densities in the winter months. Impala, Lechwe, Kudu, Zebra, Giraffe, Sitatunga. Sable, Roan, Waterbuck, Buffalo, Bushbuck and the smaller antelope are all found here. The major predators such as Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Wild Dog and Hyena are resident and regularly sighted. The reed and papyrus swamps are ideal for numerous and diverse species of birds, ranging from the Fish Eagle to waterfowl, Stilts, Storks, Plovers and Herons. One of the camp's highlights are the wildlife sounds: very few camps in Africa are noisier! The pre~dawn chorus of bird song starts off the morning. Hippos grunt and snort all day, Baboons bark and screech, Elephants wander through camp and trumpet, and Lions often roar around the camp at night!

Facilities
Accommodation is in ten upmarket tented rooms with en-suite facilities which are possibly the best appointed bathrooms in Botswana. Each room is built on a raised teak deck with wonderful views onto the Kings Pool Lagoon. This waterway has great birdlife. Hippos, Crocodiles, Bushbuck, Impala, Elephant and Sable are all seen from the rooms on a regular basis. The tents have been designed to ensure that each guest is totally comfortable and private, while at the same time offering all the atmosphere of a tented camp in Africa. There is one honeymoon suite which is under thatch. Each en-suite bathroom has wonderful views overlooking the King Pool Lagoon. They are tiled and have showers. toilets and hand basins. The main lounge, pub and dining room are under thatch. There is a swimming pool built into the decking.

Additional Information

We can therefore offer game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, night drives and walks. Vumbura Plains
Bush/Safari Lodges – Okavango Delta

Vumbura Camp is located in the Okavango Delta bordering the Moremi Game Reserve and offers both land and water activities and a stunning variety of wildlife.

Location
Vumbura Camp and Little Vumbura are situated to the east of Duba Plains in the neighbouring northern concession area of the Okavango Delta, bordering onto the Moremi Game Reserve. Vumbura can offer both water and land activities, as this area has scenic waterways and is also close to the Okavango`s outermost dry sandveld and open savannas. The water levels around the camp change each year, depending on the level of the annual floods from central Africa . The privacy of this area is one of Vumbura`s main attractions - with a great all round Okavango experience.

Activities
Fly-In, Wildlife, Game Drives, Safari, Walking, Canoeing, Honeymoon, Fishing, Photography, Birding, Game Cruise, Swimming Pool, Mokoro, Price Range - Southern Africa: $800 plus

Attractions
Vumbura has both, the wetland and savannah species of wildlife - Red Lechwe, Waterbuck, Hippo, Crocodile, as well as Sable, Kudu, Wildebeest and Tsessebe which roam the open plains. Herds of Elephant and Buffalo occur here, along with the predators - Lion, Leopard, Wild Dog and Cheetah. Guests who enjoy their birding will love the combination of all the Okavango water `specials` as well as Acacia and Mopane species.

Facilities
Vumbura Plains Camp is broken into two smaller camps each comprising 12 beds as follows:- Vumbura Plains South - 5 twins and 1 honeymoon tent. Vumbura Plains North - 3 twins, 1 honeymoon and 2 family tents. Each room has hot and cold running water and indoor and outdoor shower. The rooms are tastefully decorated and give Vumbura guests a wonderful feeling of being out in remote Africa - while still having all the comfort. All tents are on decks and connected by raised walkways. The main dining/ lounge area is tucked beneath a canopy of indigenous trees with a superb view across the floodplains. There is a plunge pool, too. Little Vumbura is similar - but only has 5 rooms.

Additional Information
Vumbura offers mokoro excursions, walks, boating and game drives. Game drives are conducted in open 4x4 Land Rovers with experienced guides. Night drives are possible nearly all year, but may be restricted for a few months in the middle of each year if we have extremely high flood levels. The variety of wildlife here is stunning. Guests can go out by boat in the morning and see Hippos, Crocodiles, Red Lechwe and all the aquatic wildlife ~ and then travel out by Land Rover in the afternoon to see Elephant, Sable and all the dry savannah game.
