The famous story of Elsa, the orphaned lioness reared by the Adamson’s inspired the name of this enthralling lodge, Elsa’s Kopje which has overwhelming views over swamps and plains to the foothills of Mount Kenya. Languid rivers and bubbling streams criss cross this arid land known as the Meru National Park to form a beautiful pattern of interweaving bottle green ribbons.

Cottages are cleverly placed to provide guests with privacy and boast a fantastic view of the park scattered with rocky kopjes and mystifying baobab trees. Rocks are incorporated into the structure and rooms are decorated with bright ikat fabric offset by whitewashed walls.
