Duma Tau located in the Linyanti Reserve in Northern Botswana overlooks a sensual lagoon and has all the habitat diversity to make it a sanctuary for wildlife.
A healthy portion of the Savuti Channel is situated within this reserve. There are exceptional grasslands and waterholes along the Savuti Channel and along the Linyanti. Moving further inland, travellers will discover mysterious acacia and mopane forests, which sustain considerable numbers of Elephants in the colder months. Evening game drives will reveal Red Lechwe, Zebra, Wildbeest, Impala, Waterbuck, Sable, Roan, Warthog, Crocodile and Buffalo. Not forgetting sensational predators such as Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Wild Dog and Hyena and the enigmatic nocturnal Bushbabies, Springhare, Aardwolf, Serval, Genet and Pangolin. Birding is also a big drawcard. Spottings of Okavango"specials" such as Slaty, Egret, White Rumped Babblers and Wattled Cranes are common.
Duma Tau Camp is comprised of lavish raised tented rooms under thatch and is sheltered under mangosteen trees overlooking an immense lagoon east of the source of the Savuti channel. The additional outdoor showers are a wonderful feature for those wanting to get even closer to nature.
